Shaka

The ProteusThemes team loves nothing more than to be out on the water. So Shaka, our new watersports/beach-business theme, holds a very special place in our hearts. We’ve been incredibly happy to see the good work that our customers have done with the theme so far. We got in touch with Jake Oszczepalinski from Skymonster Kitesurfing School to talk about the site he built with Shaka.

PT: How long have you been in business?

J: We have been in the kitesurfing business since it properly took off in the UK in 2004.

PT: What is the primary function of your website?

J: To attract new students, and to promote the sport in the local community as the most versatile water activity and the fastest growing water sport in the world.

Shaka8

PT: Why did you decide to change your website? / Or is this your first?

J: We already have a store website, however we wanted to keep the school separate. This gives us more of a presence and it clarifies our mission and purpose.

PT: What did you like about the Shaka demo that led you to buying it?

J: It’s fast, simple and looks the part – especially for our type of business. Exactly what we needed at a very low cost with little coding required.

PT: How has your experience been with Shaka and ProteusThemes in general so far?

J: It’s been great, all our queries were solved quickly and the theme itself is super easy to configure.

About the Author
I'm relatively new to the WordPress ecosystem, but I have always been an avid writer. It feels amazing to do something I love and learn so much at the same time. Outside of work I'm usually reading novels, watching documentaries or feeling disappointed with Newcastle United.
